Event Recap
HOPE Association – Nowruz Celebration 2026
The HOPE Association celebrated Nowruz 1405 and its two-year anniversary on March 22, 2026 with a well-attended and atmospheric event with members, guests and culture enthusiasts.
The program began with a welcome speech that also touched on the situation in Afghanistan, focusing on solidarity and hope for peace and stability.
During the evening, the association's new website was presented, followed by a short presentation on the meaning and history of Nowruz. The program also included poetry readings, live music and various cultural and creative activities for both children and adults.
The decoration was inspired by Nowruz traditions, where the Afghan dessert Haft Mewa and the traditional Haft Sin table were central features.
The guests were treated to traditional food, and a film about the association's two-year activities was shown. In connection with this, the new board was presented and the previous one was thanked for its work.
The evening ended with cake, music and dancing, which created a warm and memorable atmosphere.
The cultural association HOPE would like to extend a warm thank you to all participants and to everyone who contributed to the evening's arrangements - before, during and after the event. Special thanks also go to our partners: City of Gothenburg, NBV Väst, CJDJ Group, Karewan Music Association and Sina Gross.
