Event Recap
The HOPE association participated in the celebration of International Women's Day at an inspiring event that was arranged at the YES BOX office in Gamlestan, on the initiative of YES BOX – Home of Entrepreneurs, together with several actors such as NBV and Hej Främling Sverige.
During the day, participants and entrepreneurs from different countries gathered, including India, Bangladesh, Somalia and Sweden. Many women participated and presented their crafts as well as companies and exhibitions, which created a nice atmosphere of cultural exchange, community and inspiration.
The HOPE association contributed with an exhibition and also showed a film about the situation of women in Afghanistan. The purpose was to draw attention to the fact that despite the fight for women's rights around the world, women in Afghanistan still lack many basic rights under the current regime. Through this, we wanted to raise their voice and remind them that we must not forget the women of Afghanistan.
The visitors were also treated to Afghan homemade pastries, including sambusa and khajur.
